Hedzer Oosterwal is an entrepreneur, a people-focused executive, a seasoned developer, and a passionate outdoorsman. He is the owner of iMetal, a company built around solving complex problems through custom software.
Before founding iMetal, Hedzer honed his skills at Emeni (a software development firm), streamlined development workflows at Bumbal (Smart Transport Software), and modernized the source architecture at ToPay (an accounting and payments platform), and contributed to backend architecture and API improvements at Recras, a SaaS company for recreation businesses.
Across all these roles, one thing remained consistent: combining data insight, high-output development, and effective tooling to create powerful, future-proof solutions. His roots lie in IT, economics, and finance.
Hedzer studied Game Architecture and Design at NHTV University of Applied Sciences (Breda), Computer Engineering at Avans University of Applied Sciences (Breda), and Business School at Hogeschool Rotterdam.
